Hi from a former midwesterner (still have traces of the ay-ack cent!) Here's the link to the Dallas half marathon. here it is--there's a deadline (Mar. 3), and a relay option too as noted. if you need a hotel room and the rooms Bill blocked are sold out, you can get "marathon rate" rooms at Fairmont too. Looking forward to getting to know more people in Dallas--I'm going alone and have this image of somehow feeling separate from others who have made hundreds of friends--silly, no? take care, Jennifer in NY www.dallas.competitor.com/register

Hi Midwestern Mick, :) Thanks for taking time to read some of my blog and for sending me the great encouragment! I know you understand tough weeks - and it's been one. Haven't been on Tcom much this week - but hanging in there! More snow coming - are you ready? Spring should be right around the next corner. :) Peace to you and keep in touch. Sherry

Hi Mick, I have read your profile and had a gander at your photos.....what strikes me is that I have not met many people at your age willing to make a change....most people as they get a little older seem to start to justify their health, tiredness etc....but not you..I wonder why? Maybe you are one of he few that recognises you could have another 40 years on this planet and that is a whole lifetime in which to live with yourself and inspire others. Mick I think you have the wisdow and courage to be incredible.....my hopes are that you will reach your highest level of potential...I think you will. I have listed you as a friend becuase I would like to work with you on this journey.....drop me a note anytime. Kindest wishes Stuart xxx

I Am

Successful in life but at a time now that I am seeking satisfaction in my endeavors, which I have not totally discovered. I care about my overall health and my quality of physical life as I age. Feel that I am bored because of a ultimate goal to be achieved. I feel I am seeking the next level but I can't seem to find something that I feel I will enjoy working towards. I care about my family. My wife, my kids, grandkids, my brother and my Mother. I feel that I need to be around to care for all their help. They probably don't need my help but I have not been able to release that need of my concerns.

My Favorite Charity

Shriners Childrens Hospital and Burns Center

To me, Transformation Means

Being able to make better health decisions. Transformation gives me an opportunity to mix with persons who are able to share their visions in a positive environment of progress, both social and health.

My Goals

My main goal is to lose weight and become more healthy for my age. I want to learn to be OK with my decisions. I have reached the realization that I am getting older and plan to continue getting older with a youthful energetic attitude. I want to grow older and be able to walk, run and play with my family (blood family and T-family)

My Intentions

I have a closet full of clothes that I want to fit into!! :-) ! I want to mix with others who have the same interests as myself so I can fill my social network with persons alike. I want to inspire others around me with the comfortability of a healthy lifestyle. I want to reach a healthy level so I can enjoy my "senior" years without having physical limitations that I have created by not being in touch. I intend to be with all my new friends as long as they will have me!!

Who I'd Like to Inspire

All persons in my family without a doubt!! I hope to inspire persons in my own circle of influence as well as others who I might not have met yet. Being 60 years old I know of many persons who mentally are on the down size of finding new and exciting in their lives. I hope to inspire myself along with anyone who cares to "step out" of their grave.
