I Am

I am Andrew, a source of enlightened consciousness in soul, body, and mind. I am a lifetime learner, an artist and a creative spirit that believes its never too late to begin anything. I create my own reality and am responsible for the outcome. I believe there are no failures but only opportunities to grow. I am a source of humor, love and positive life energy.

I learned from my past success with Body For Life when I lost 100 pounds in 2002 but regained most of it years later.

It has been the greatest blessing for if I had not gained it back I never would have come to transformation.com I would not have grown so much on the inside. Being a former perfectionist I now realize that celebrating progress, learning from mistakes, and constantly creating new challenges is the key to sustainability.

My Favorite Charity

Make A Wish Foundation / Hunger Task Force

To me, Transformation Means

The transcendence from a dormant, dark & lifeless state to an awakening of my conscience and seeing life through new eyes. It is coming into alignment with one' self starting with the inner work which provides light to shine outward. It is living in alignment with one's true core values, through a healthy state of consciousness, purpose, and meaning. It is being altruistic and realizing the value of giving being a circle of energy that keeps giving back. It is being the change to make a difference in others lives.

My Goals

My current goals stemmed from this defining moment in 2009 at the Denver Marathon and Transformation Conference where I experienced my first taste in true altruism.

(A post from Steve on the event was here:
http://www.transformation.com/forum/transformation-central/18898-my-inspirational-award-mini-goes.html
I was supposed to do the 4.5 mile and ended up doing the 1/2 marathon while carrying my friend Jerome who had signed up for the half marathon, but due to back surgeries couldn't continue without help. It redefined my life in seeing that I am valued (something I didn't believe for so long), because it took the reflections of hundreds of transformers at that finish line reflecting the good in me after seeing what happened before I ever saw it in myself. It changed my life in that moment forever. For 2010, I am using this experience as a launch pad to take on things I never thought possible. The center of it all, is living a life of giving now. The tree from which all the branches of my current goals arise is to give to this world from my unique energy.
After being honored in the HHC (see link to blog here:
http://www.transformation.com/ready4change1/blog/HHC/HHC-Final-Pic-and-Essay-12-31-09/66137 my new goals for 2010 are to drop the rest of the weight I gained years ago, to gain spiritual strength, and to experience giving and altruism, building upon 2009's amazing journey.

My Intentions

To help others by being the change. To honor the sacredness of life by honoring myself and my creator. Giving unconditionally by taking this light that eminates within me and shining it onto others to spark their light, their life energy (like a chain reaction of firecrackers) so it can be passed on.
My life mission is to GIVE like my life depends on it, because it does.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

I want to be an inspiration for all to realize its never too late to begin. Its not how many times you fall down, its how many you get up. It doesn't take a month, it takes only a moment to make a decision of destiny. I want to inspire all to see that a wonderful human being like me can use a perceived life long curse and turn it into a blessing for all.
- Andrew
