I haven't checked in much over the past few days, because I didn't have too much to report. It's been a good news bad new thing since Saturday.First my bad news: I pulled my left glute muscle and haven't been able to walk, let alone work out. Rather than be a hero and hurt myself more, I've tak

Hey, Bobb, Fellow Minnesotan...Thanks for the e-mail! I know you can achieve your goals this Challenge! It's about knowing that We Deserve Better in Our Lives and the most important piece of that puzzle is to "take care of ourselves (physicially & mentally)" so we have more to give to others! If you haven't noticed...there is also a Minnesota Transformation Group so hopefully we can plan some get-togethers where we can all meet each other and plan some Events! Best Wishes with attaining all the goals/"beating your MS"...I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!! Cheers! : ) Cindy

Just read your comment on my blog. I really appreciate it. My goal with my blog was to mainly capture my experiences but also I hoped that other people would relate. Can't wait to hear about your ventures on the bike! I've gone through a lot of rollercoaster periods over the years due to illness but even when I've been out of commission for months or even years, I still thought about getting back on the bike as soon as I was up to it. BTW - I have a hybrid - Trek 7500. I bought it in November 2004 when I was pushing 330 lbs. I'd been off the bike for years and just couldn't imagine getting on my road bike. The hybrid was much less of a shock to my system and was crucial in me getting my weight down. I just signed-up for the 50-mile Tour de Poway. My main concern was that it starts out with a 3-mile climb at 8%. Guess I'll just have to find a way to do that... Take care and I can't wait until the time comes and you're back on the bike... Jim

Thanks for the nice comment on my video. Just wanted to say that I can relate to how you feel. I have been dealing with pituitary and thyroid issues for years. Unfortunately, too many people interpret what is simply a medical issue as if it were more of a character flaw. I too, look forward to the day where people no longer think of me as 'the sick guy'... Good luck buddy and keep in touch, Jim
