Refocusing/guy's egos

I have decided to change my physical transformation goals for a few reasons.  I originally intended to do two weeks of cutting down (calorie deficit), two weeks of bulking (calorie surplus), and repeating the cycle at least until I reached certain goals.  But, every time I did my cutting, ...

Don't worry, they're only muscles

This is the third week of my transformation, and I'm starting to get these strange, big bumps all over my body.  But don't worry, after much research and blogging on the internet, I found out they are just muscles.  Anyone heard of these?  Yeah, apparently we all have them somewhere u...

I love the costumes! I swear I have been making up for years of lost sleep lately! I started walking a couple weeks ago, but I have only gone like once a week. LOL. This week, I will focus on walking at least three times. The last thing that I want is to be exhausted from lack of exercise. I have noticed that my overall attitude now compared to when I was first married is terrible. I need a serious attitude adjustment when it comes to my husband and boys. It's like I am not the same person. It's not that I am that way all the time, but I am inconsistent and just plain rude. This is not the example that I want to set for my children on how to communicate. This is going to take some serious self evaluation. Wish me luck. I am glad to hear that your attitude has adjusted. It is wonderful to be able to admit your shortcomings and then do something about it. I also am so happy for you that your outer transformation is going well. Great job!

I saw your pics. You look great? How do you feel about the way things are going for you? How is your eating? Do you find any change happening with your family? I am just plain preggo tired. I know that working out will help, but I am in that exhaustion cycle that is so hard to get out of. Being 13 weeks pregnant is the culprit, but I have got to find a way to get moving. I am happy that your physical transformation is going so well.

I Am

I am 36 years old, married to a gorgeous woman, and a father of two amazing kids (Jack, 1 yr., Lainey, 3 yrs.). The most important thing to me is my family. It makes me so happy to see them laugh and enjoy life. I want to make sure I am the the foundation of our family, the father and husband they can rely upon for everything. I want to make sure that I bring only positive energy into our home. I want to be fit and full of energy while on this Earth so that they can follow my example, and enjoy an active, fun lifestyle together. Lately, I seem to be very impatient with everything, and although I am aware of it, I have not changed it. I hope this challenge will give me back my positive energy, teach me some patience, and therefore give my wife and children the best husband and father they could ever wish for.

My Favorite Charity

Any charity that helps children who are in adverse situations...children should not have to suffer.

To me, Transformation Means

A complete change of current conditions. I will transform my body from "mediocre" to "awesome". I will transform my attitude from "blah" to "supercharged"

My Goals

Let me start by saying that my transformation began on July 21, 2008. Although my body has plenty of room for improvement, I think my attitude, patience, and overall outlook on life needs far more work. I feel that this is what attracted me to this challenge...knowing that it is not just about improving our bodies, but also every aspect of our being. So, my intangible, but vitally important goals are to regain my positive outlook, exude enthusiasm, and improve my patience. I have a pretty good life and a lot to be thankful for (family and health). However, right now I'm just existing. At the end of this challenge, I will be muscular, energetic, and full of enthusiasm. I will have a huge improvement on my patience, which can only be measured by those around me. As for my physical goals, here's what I have decided. It ocurred to me (actually it's painfully obvious to me), that I do not have the muscle mass I once had. I have all the excuses in the world as to why I am not in great shape anymore. I really have to get all the excuses out of my head. So, I decided that I will bulk up a bit, and then cut down to shed unwanted fat. To get more specific, at the end of 18 weeks here's the changes I will see (by the way, I am 6'2"): Body fat from 16.8% to 8%, Waist from 38.5" to 35", and Weight from 200 lbs to 205 lbs. So I will lose 18 lbs of fat and gain 23 lbs of muscle. I will have 17" biceps when measured cold, but flexed. I want to feel physically strong...it's a great feeling, and at the end of this challenge (or before), I will feel STRONG.

My Intentions

I don't have any intentions, I only have goals that I will achieve(see above). I hope that doesn't sound crass.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

First and foremost, the most important people in my life, my wife and kids. But, I would like to inspire the whole world. Why not? If I undergo a total transformation, change my life from ordinary to extraordinary, then why not share it with the world?
