Jimmy, meeting you in Dallas was a real highlight for me. I remember that first night I got there I was feeling pretty tired and like I was coming down with a cold. I really didn't feel like going out to dinner, but something compelled me to, and I held the intention that it would be worth it. And it sure was because I met you and got to talk in depth with you. I am so inspired by what you are doing with your business, and in fact I was telling a few people all about you on the plane trip home back to Melbourne. You also would not believe the people that happened to show up on my trip back home. I talk to an awesome lady who is the HR manager for a company, and it is likely I'm going to go in and present to their 120 staff on work-life balance and transformation. I love it! And I love you! Cheers, Paul.

JIMMY!!! Howdy again from Texas! Hey--you looked me in the eyes and made me promise that we'd keep in touch. I got your message, the ball is in my court...and here I am! I have just been going through your site here and taking a look at some of your pictures--GOOD LORD! My friend, you have come such a long way. I never knew you in the 'Before' state, but let me tell you--I see how you are now, vibrant, lively, energetic, with a crazy brightness to your eyes. I thought you were one of those folks that were always and have always been in great shape. Man, your personality is larger than life, and I am so glad I got to meet you! We need to keep this line of communication open, buddy! See you soon!

I Am

My name is Jimmy Naranjo and I'm a single father, student, lighting-designer (in training), and a small business owner. There are several reasons why I've decided to "take the plunge" toward better health. The most important being that I may lay a solid foundation for my future success. I know I have quite the journey to travel, but visualizing myself in tip top shape, with an excellent physique and a clean bill of health will fortify what I've struggled to believe for a long time... I am worthy and compentent of obtaining my dreams.

My Favorite Charity

Ronald McDonald House & Delancey Street Foundation

To me, Transformation Means

Transformation to me means redemption. It means an emergence of a man that has been locked away for too long. Most important, it means true belief....a true belief in myself :-).

My Goals

So I have pin-pointed and defined my goal as such: I will commence my own Transformation Challenge, utilizing the principles and strategies I have learned from Bill Phillips', "Body For Life," on April 27th, 2009. My final weigh in will take place on August 30th, 2009. In those 18 weeks, I will shed at least 85 pounds of body fat and reduce my waistline from a size 44 to a size 36. Additionally, I will seek out a support system of friends that will consistently encourage me to continue my journey until its final destination and begin each day of this 18 week regime by waking up and feeding my mind with positive material (Transformation blog entries, writing in my own journal, reading, etc...). I will reduce my disgusting smoking habit each day and be completely smoke-free by or before May 27th, 2009. I will cut down my television time to no more than one hour per day and replace it with more productive and stimulating activities. Finally, I have concluded that this will NOT be a temporary or short-term solution to a long-term problem, but a permanent shift in my lifestyle for the time I have remaining on this earth.

My Intentions

Who I'd Like to Inspire

I'd like to inspire three of the most important people in my life. My father, my brother, and my daughter. Both my father and my brother are incredible men; however, both have been morbidly obese for quite some time now. I would love nothing more than to show, by example, that they can claim victory over their bodies.... and health. My beautiful 16 year old daughter has faced some incredible challenges in her life. It goes without saying that I love her dearly. On my final weigh in day, I will dedicate my victory to her, in the hopes that I may become an inspiration, a mentor, and who knows.... maybe even a hero to my little girl.
