Hey Mel glad the timing was good on the blog. I've seen both here and life lately people needing to pause a moment and consider that while they don't understand nor even like where another is coming from (or so they think) it never hurts to consider that it may be a totally different situation or reasoning that causes that belief or action, that if understood might make sense. I am far better than I used to be at "holding judgment" and allowing the situation to unfold before I get or form an opinion but still have a ways to go before "I'm there!" I Am

Round 2 begins! :) Whoo hoo! Let's GO ~ Bring on the assignments!

I am so blessed to have found this site. My life has changed so much since last May when I started my first challenge. I have lost 44 lbs. and gained new confidence in myself and my ability to change my life in a positive way. I am a very proud mom to six fabulous kids ~ 16, 15, 11, 10, 9 and 2! (His, mine and ours!!!)
I care most about my kids and hubby. They mean so much to me and it means so much to them that I have done this for myself. They couldn't be prouder of me and that makes my day! I will continue to be the role model they deserve!
To all of you who are looking at just starting your journey! You can do it ~ just stick with the program and stay positive! Good Luck!

Struggles of a Mindful Girl

There is something, somebody, someone
who is aching to be heard
To break all chains attached to her
and run full force in her own direction
Reeling with anguish and pain
happiness and hope
Needing and wanting
yet rebelling against all dependency
Knowing this is the first step
The second step will be as if I've fallen off the moon.

My Goals

to maintain my weight loss from Round 1 (as of today that is 44lbs!)
to lose those last 6 lbs. to make my weight loss 50 lbs!
to add strength training to my weekly routine
to train consitantly for and run in the One America 500 Festival Mini-marathon in May!
to continue to set fitness goals so I can be healthy and active FOREVER!

My Intentions

to speak kindly to others everyday

to work on a positive thought process so when times are tough I can use my energy on fixing the issue instead of spinning it in a negative way

to become someone I would want to hang around with
