Back in the Classroom

Welp, I am now back in the classroom.  I am teaching Social Studies.  My students are inner city kids, so think of the movie...Dangerous Minds...yes, I am the new Michelle Pfieffer.  I love it though.  The hard part is balancing work, mommy time, wife time, workout time, Jesus time, me time all in 24 hours.....it's almost impossible.  Somethings get cut out of the day, but I am trying to get back on track.  I know on...

Full Speed Ahead

Welp, it's been awhile.  I've kind of taken a few days or week off.  I had to get regrouped, refocused.  It's amazing how the body has a mind of its own.  I am at my midway point and you would think after miles of running, and lifting weights, and eating clean, my body would be reved up ready for anything.  But lately, it has slowed down.  I could go for a run and I would just stop, for no reason after 1 mile.  ...

Run.....Forest......Run

Before I started transformation, I use to think....."I want to lose 10 lbs" well that wouldn't happen so I would quit.  Now with transformation, I've set a different goal each week.  Hit stronger weights, don't drink a diet coke for one day (that is hard :), lose 1 lb in a weeks, run further in this week, etc.  I've realized that the little goals set and accomplished are so much better than setting a big goal never obtain...

Going for the Metal

In the spirit of the Olympics, it made me realize how we are all like the Olympic Athletes.  When you think about their journey, some of them have been working for 4 years to get to China.  4 years!!!! and most of their lifetime.  It makes the 18 weeks that we are working for seem very reachable.  I've set back and started thinking about the "metals" I'm wanting to obtain.  The first metal, of course, is to tran...

Would You Check Out That Scenery

Wow...would you check out that scenery....how amazing is that...Oh!  I'm sorry I guess you were thinking I was talking about the beautiful mountain or river behind me....well sorry to disappoint, but I was talking about those jeans!!!! Yes, I will say that as I stood in front of the Animas River in Durango, Co.  I was amazed from the beauty around me, but I was more amazed that I was standing in those jeans.  Yeah Baby!!!!! or shou...

There's no place like home....

Praise the Lord....I am home....what a trip. It was chaos from the get-go and didn't think I was going to be able to get home...more problems with the airline on the way home.  But I am here.  Oh! How I missed my babies....starting with my number 1 baby...my honey Matt and all the way down the line to the baby, baby...Joshua.  I will say though, that was the best get away and best timing for me as far as the transformation process ...

Another One of God's Masterpieces

At 6:30 this morning (mt. time) my body still on Central  time was screaming...wake up, it's time to go run.  So, rolling out of bed I hit the pavement.  One of the things I love about running in a new town is that you get to see parts of the city that other people don't really see.  A thing I don't like is getting use to the different altitude and weather.  Farmington New Mexico is located in the top left hand corner of ...

God is really a comic

I have never encountered the humorous side of God until this Sunday.  My cousin and I left Sunday at 1:10 from Shreveport to go to Dallas, Tx., Denver Co. then on into Farmington, New Mexico.  We were suppose to land in NM by 5:00 on Sunday evening.....well, it didn't work out that way.  The airline in Shreveport gave us the wrong tickets so when we got to Dallas, we couldn't make our connecting flight to another airline....long st...

Where I am Weak, He is strong

Wow...I've just started my 3rd week and for some reason, I hit a weakness on food.  Don't ask me why.  I was doing SO good and being so clean and so strong....and now I'm like craving everything and nibbling on stuff I wouldn't have dared put in my mouth.  It's probably hormonal, which is a VERY big issue for me.  I suffer from severe PMS, infact my doctor put me on meds just for that time.  So this is the first time sinc...

My Cup Runneth Over

I am just so pumped..... I have to tell this story, my heart is full of praise.  Today was mine and my husbands long run.  I ran 6.3 miles in 67 minutes.  That is the absolutely furtherest I have ever ran in my life.  The whole way, I'm listening to music and have my "talk" with the Lord.  This is when I can dive deep inside me and really get to my core with no babies, no husband, no dirty dishes or clothes........

One Week Down.....

My first week of the challenge has come to an end.  As I sit back and take a look back, I can feel nothing but success, accomplishments and being proud at myself.  I began my journey at 170 lbs.  I know that weight is not a good determination at what your body should be like, however, before all of my babies, I weighed about 135 so I know I can be smaller!!! So, as I got on the scale today, I was anxious to see what a week of busti...
