Run.....Forest......Run
Before I started transformation, I use to think....."I want to lose 10 lbs" well that wouldn't happen so I would quit. Now with transformation, I've set a different goal each week. Hit stronger weights, don't drink a diet coke for one day (that is hard :), lose 1 lb in a weeks, run further in this week, etc. I've realized that the little goals set and accomplished are so much better than setting a big goal never obtained. So this week's goal was to run 8.2 miles.....this morning I woke up to a non typical Louisiana day. It was cloudy, 68 degrees and it felt wonderful and guess what.......I DID IT!!!!! The first time EVER in my life have I ran that far in my life.....I ran 8.2miles.....that's one more brick wall burst through before my marathon. The whole time I was running, I couldn't help but think about Forest Gump....and how he just ran....in my head, I actually felt like him...."I was runang, and runang, and runang...and then you know what I did...I ran some more!" Gotta love Forest!





Mona, i love it, nothing like some Forest Gump! Yes, i remember back when me and Randy was doing that during VBS those many years ago, that's funny, i'm suprised you remember that!!! Hey i'm so proud of you and you accomplishing your goals! Congrats on the 8.2 miles sweeeeetttttttttttt!!!!!!
You know I love this movie! It is one of my favorite movies and you are one of my favorite people in the whole wide world. You and I go together like peas and carrots, MoNa! You must have wore your magic shoes today. Mama says, "they was magic shoes. They could take me anywhere!" You got to love that Forest Gump. I believe I am about to watch it. You are so cute!!! That is awesome progress!!!!! 8.2 miles!! Good for you!!! I set "mini" goals for myself because they are so more attainable than just having a huge honking goal in front of you . The little goals get to the huge goal. Baby steps & progress!! You are doing awesome!!!
Runang LOL I almost wet myself on that one! I was reading a high powered fitness trainer just yesterday. he said the way to grow muscles isnt rockey science...He said its just doing a little more than you did on the last workout to force your body to adapt to that new level of fitness. Ok I am runang at the mouth...Stop Forest!!!

fun. i am finding that i need to set those minichallenge goals myself or this whole 12 to 18 week thing will zoom right by me and be absorbed into my regular life. the momentum built by smashing thru the smaller barriers gives us the power to reach for the BIG (formerly unreachable) goals runang...and runang... hahaha
