Good Morning Holly - I trust you are resting and at peace this morning knowing the surgery is over and now onward to healing. Thank you for the warm thoughts during Simon's mini crisis. I knew that so many were with me even if they knew not what to say. Stay in touch - recovery can feel slow but it will go fast with so many transformation people to keep in touch with. - Cher

You mentioned you weren't like most women... you are apple shaped. Several girls in my office related to that comment, and shared your sentiment. I think you're normal in that regard, and extraordinary in every other! :-) Love you bunches. Be safe FRIDAY!!!

I Am

I am:
a lover of the outdoors, and all things wilderness;
a good friend who listens and cares;
a loving family member and supporter of my 91-year young mother;
a very busy school principal with a goal for life/work balance;
a dancing fool...who loves salsa, swing, zydeco, and a zumba instructor;
a person committed to making the world a better place -- I give to the community, to children, and to issues of world peace and harmony;
a beginner in connecting to my spiritual practice and meditation;
a transformer, in my fourth challenge!
a rebel and innovator;
a speaker of truth to power;
a possessor of a giant laugh and a sense of humor about life and myself.

My Favorite Charity

Oxfam

To me, Transformation Means

Transformation is fundamental change driven from within, a total change of being, rather than just band aids or quick fixes. Transformation offers change that might be impossible to conceive of if one does not change fundamental states and beliefs. For example, can a tadpole imagine breathing air and living on a lily pad? .

My Goals

Goals for 2010:
Meet my physical transformation goals -- be at peace with my "right body" and taking care of my physical health - recognize my progress, my beauty and bare my midriff and arms and wear a two piece bathing suit.
Plan: Use a model to visualize -- Helen Mirren in bikini, and others on the site...visualize daily...do the work and let it go! See Assignment One for specifics.

Face the fear and feelings and Keep self promises no matter what!

Love selflessly with an open heart!

Overall Purpose:Smash all boundaries and limiting beliefs about physical health and beauty,while creating my own happiness. Continue to be the change and build a local transformation support group while expanding my ability to maintain an attitude of gratitude, which will provide me with a foundation on which I can increase my ability to help others and give freely.

My long-term goal is to continue my journey and make it be a bedrock lifestye to maintain a healthy weight of below 24% body fat and strength, flexibility, and cardio fitness while expanding my skills as a Zumba instructor. I will take care of myself and my health consistently and take the time for my relaxation as a matter of daily practice . I will make meditation and peacefulness the big rocks in my daily schedule. I will lose an additional 20 lb. of fat, and continue to review my nutrition so that my healthy eating maintains my healthy body, mind, and spirit. I will consistently radiate my love of life, my health, my serenity, my hopefulness and my beauty to inspire and nourish others. I will be the change - a part of the positive life force!

My Intentions

I intend to document my progress, plan ahead, and minimize night time eating, while keeping up my exercise and eating well. Plan of Action: Plan ahead weekly. Post food daily of six small healthy meals with emphasis on natural foods, one salad a day and one green shake per day. Exercise Portion control. Monitor feelings,weight loss, possible food allergies, and adjust intake to keep losing fat. 2 full-body weights and 4 HIIT cardio sessions weekly, with Zumba, spinning and walk/run. For a total of 4-6 hours of exercise.

Meditate and visualize daily...in the evening 10 minutes and 3 minutes at each meal. Update my vision board. Read goals, assignment one, and purpose daily. Look at weekly progress pix and measurements every three weeks.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

My family, friends, and co-workers and anyone that has decided to give up or settle.
