Sherri, Thanks for your beautiful post on Coach's group this morning. You have put my own thoughts into such beautiful words. I am definitely going to try the guided visualization. One of the speakers in Dallas, Dr. Karen Wolfe, talked about this too. Anything that will allow my mind to stop racing is welcome by me! Thank you again for your beautiful words this morning! ~Steph

Sherri... I am still planning on going to the Ohio meeting. I am trying to get another couple to go with Cheri and I. I will keep you posted as to my plans. I think it will be fun to meet some others who are going through this challenge with us. To me it doesn't matter if 4 or 44 people show up. I think it will be a fun day in any case. Bill

Hi, Sherri! I wanted to come by and let you know after reading your post in the Rightlight group that I can SO relate to so many things you shared! What and who are we aside from those we care for, it is such an intense and full time occupation. I can relate to the confusion between knowing there could be no greater blessing and wondering if there isn't more for us personally. This little dilemma doesn't seem to be one that will be resilved any time soon, for me. Meanwhile, I just keep exploring and trying to push the boundaries without neglecting my resposibilities. Hugs, Sherri! hank you fr sharing from your heart! ~Sally : )

I Am

Who am I? That's a tough one! The obvious is that I am happily married to my soul mate of 33 yrs.. I have 1 daughter & 2 grandkids. Most of my life I have been able to be a stay at home mom/gramma. So I guess that makes me a caregiver or boring old housewife (domestic engineer ). My grandkids have pretty much filled my life the last 6 yrs., but are now in school full time. So I have this big VOID in my life. So who am I? I hope to find out this year. All I know for sure is that I love when my hubby gets home from work and I love visits with the kids. As a hobby I took up scrapbooking and I joined a gym.

My Favorite Charity

ironically- FEED THE CHILDREN

To me, Transformation Means

Once upon a time there was this beautiful free spirit that lived life to the fullest, it was me. Somehow, over time, I got lost in what was expected of me or what I chose to give up. I only realized recently that I have no purpose in life if not being a care giver. So transformation to me is not only the physical, but will also be a mental break thru. My mind set will not only be on change of eatting habits ( which is a challenge in itself ), but I must also rethink and revive my entire being. I have to learn to think of me and my needs as well as my family. I need a healthy balance between the 2.

My Goals

My goal is to re-enter society and find myself. I need to validate myself as something besides, his wife or their gramma. I am going to find out who I am as a person. I need to be more trusting and make a friend or 2. I am going to find some club or an other to join. I am going to eat right and exercise. I am going to keep this positive attitude even if I am scared to death. Who am I?

My Intentions

Put me first. It will be an extremely hard task. But I think in the long run, if I feel 100% then my whole family will be rewarded by the new me.

Who I'd Like to Inspire

My 31 yr. old daughter. She has fallen into the same trap as me. I need to let her know it is ok to have ME TIME. I need to let her see that it is ok to find herself.
