building muscle

I am putting out a shout to anybody who might know how I can enhance my muscles without drugs or steroids.  I am approaching 49 years old, and what I have noticed is that, I pump the iron but the results are slower than when I was 20.  Any suggestions.........Thanks Team

Hi Amanda, just wanted to thank you for your note and to say if this Irishman can somehow figure out how to exchange the cocktail hour for losing some pounds and gaining some clearer thinking, maybe we can blaze a new trail!! Thanks again & HNY.

Wanted to say I enjoyed your assignment 8 post. I have struggled with "Over indulgence" in good pleasures and it was comforting to know that others on the path to transformation deal with these issues as well. Keep up the great work! Cheers to that spiced tea. Ben

I Am

I am a mother of two kids, who are now graduated from highschool and have moved on in their lives. I feel it is now "my time." It is all about getting healthy ---mind body soul. I have worked out since I was 18, but when my daughter tried to commit suicide when she was 13, I felt that it was no longer" just about me". So, in the past 7 years, I half assed worked out, and donated the majority of my emotional and phycological time to my daughter. In that she is better now and flourishing in life, and my amazing son just graduated from high school and is moving toward his future, it is my time to make myself healthy again.

My Favorite Charity

The Rose Buddh Foundation

To me, Transformation Means

Not only is my body out of shape, but so is my soul. I want to transform from a unhealthy, depressed, out of shape blob of a human being to a motivated happy shining star. I want to live life to it's fullest in a body and mind that is healthy.

My Goals

For 18 weeks I will be following Bill's advice for the entire time. Once my mind, body and soul are healthy (my long term goal) will be to complete this 18 week challenge and then train to become a personal trainer. My third goal is to educate myself on the Pilates technique and add this to my training. After standing behind the cutting chair for 30 years, my body can't handle the hours standing anymore. I want to change my direction in life - leave" just making someone beautiful on the outside" and train them to feel beautiful on the outside and inside. I feel Bill Philips Transformation will give me the vehicle to do this.

My Intentions

My Purpose is to help women understand that they are worthy of a beautiful body and mind. My favorite charity is the Women for Women group - a worldwide battered women's support organization. An abused woman can be left with no self-esteem and can tend to repeat the pattern of abuse. This pattern can be changed, but with alot of work. I feel the best place for me to start is at the beginning of a young woman's life (10-14 years olds). An organization with this idea has recently been developed by a few of my friends in the Fort Collins, Colorado area . It is my commitment to bring a clone of this organization to the Denver area where I can be involved. It is a young woman’s club that would give them the tools to empower themselves with many different mentors who would teach them about their mind, body and soul. My contribution will be to teach them about body awareness and physical fitness. The $10,000, that I hope to win, would be donated to this young group.....The Rosebuddh Foundation

Who I'd Like to Inspire

My son and daughter..........and of coarse all the young people who come into my life.
