Motivational Doctor Visit.

I went to a scheduled appointment yesterday with my primary care physician.  He is a great guy and very straight forward with his treatments.  He would much rather treat in a proactive preventative manner, as opposed to just reacting to what ever comes along.  He has been working with me for the last year to get me to change some things in my blood work.  My good cholesterol is way too low, my lipid profile is too high with small particles ( not a good thing ), and my blood sugar, while not high, it was higher than we'd like to see.  Yesterday, the sugar was high enough to be considered borderline diabetic and now my blood pressure was getting too high on the bottom number.  Everything else stayed the same. 

I could not help but think that this might be that signal that God gives us about our health and that it was also just what I needed while trying to still make the changes needed for me to transform my self.  While I was very upset about these numbers, I could not help but feel that they came at the best time in my life.  

I go back for follow up in 16 weeks, I can not wait to see the look on their faces in the office, when they see me and my blood test numbers.  This is now a peice of tangible motivation that I can use.  I know what the problem is and how severe the situation.  I know an exact time frame which can be used to make things better.  Plus, this makes a great finish line for the first part of my transformation and a great starting line for the next phase.

Now is the time for me to take my life back, grab it by the horns and pull it out of the grave I have been digging for way too long.
